Budget & Objectives

Consultus recognises that healthcare providers are under enormous pressure to deliver on two competing imperatives: balancing the books whilst achieving service modernisation in line with government directives.

We will work with you to ensure that we meet your obligation to your patients, whilst operating within budgetary constraints.

Flexibility

As part of our managed service, we monitor each case to ensure budgets are not exceeded during the conduct of the contract.  Wherever possible, our Nurses will be flexible with the hours they work to ensure that pre-arranged costs are contained.

Nursing Costs 

The cost of home nursing will vary depending on the complexity of the patient’s needs, the expected duration of care and whether nursing care will be required during the night also.

As a general guideline, our fee for a live in qualified Nurse is:

£187 per day for weekdays (and £207 per day at weekends) for a 10 hour working day.  The Nurse remains 'on-call' at night at no extra charge, unless required to attend the patient.

The cost of Nurses' travel to and from the patient's home will be included in our invoice.

The cost of a Consultus live in nurse compares very favorably with the rates for other forms of private nursing care.  This becomes even more cost effective when a Consultus Nurse cares for a couple in their own home
